Cancellation of Tendence 2020
With great regret, we have to tell you today that Tendence 2020 will not take place.
We have made every effort and pulled every lever available in order, despite the currently very difficult situation, to be able to welcome you to Tendence 2020 at the end of June here in Frankfurt. Unfortunately, however, the increasingly worsening situation regarding the coronavirus has left us no choice.
We are convinced that there will soon be trade fairs and events again – for real-life encounters are so enormously important, and thus vital, precisely for your industry.
We would be very pleased to welcome the industry here in Frankfurt again in 2021.

Tendence 2020 cancelled
In response to the worsening situation concerning the coronavirus pandemic and in view of the current challenges facing German and European retailers, Tendence 2020 has been cancelled. This means that Nordstil in Hamburg, from 25 to 27 July 2020, will be the first opportunity for pre-order suppliers for spring and summer 2021, as there will be no other order trade fairs for these product lines this year.
Opportunity for a grand presentation. Apply for the promotional programme Talents by 19 March 2020.
It’s one thing designing creative and contemporary products – but it’s another to present them at a large trade fair. The promotional programme Talents is Messe Frankfurt’s way of supporting creative designers and young studios in design, artisan crafts, jewellery and fashion accessories as they take their first steps onto an international platform. The next opportunity to take part will be in the summer, at Tendence (27 to 30 June 2020). Applications can be sent in any time between now and 19 March 2020.
Tendence 2020: Lifestyle trends and worlds of inspiration for the perfect compilation of a product range
Buyers at Tendence in Frankfurt can look forward to unusual ideas and lifestyle and trend products – all related to interior design, gifts and home accessories. For four days, Tendence will be offering a vast array of incentives and worlds of inspiration to meet the needs of customers – all arranged by retail channel, lifestyle and target group. The line-up will range from individual product displays to innovative product lines for customers’ own shops. But Tendence will also focus on the pre-order business, presenting the latest trends for spring and summer 2021, both for major distributors and specialist chain stores. So there are plenty of good reasons to travel to Frankfurt from 27 to 30 June 2020.
Bettina Bär is back as head of Tendence
After her parenting leave, Bettina Bär has now been back as head of Tendence since early September. Susanne Schlimgen, who stood in for her in 2018/19, will be coordinating cooperation with numerous retailers’ associations as well as the lifestyle conference Pioneers of Lifestyle on the last day of Tendence. She will also support the ongoing strategic development of Tendence and Nordstil and will continue to be closely associated with both events.
Tendence 2020: new dates and extended to four days
Just a few weeks after Tendence 2019, preparations for the next edition of the trade fair have already started. The hall concepts Style City, Moment Market, Design City and Sunshine State met with a positive response and will continue next year. However, adjustments have been made concerning the number of days and the dates of Tendence 2020.
Messe Frankfurt online accreditation for Tendence will be available for the next event. Please obtain your accreditation beforehand. You will then receive your press pass as a PDF file.To accreditation
