Born in North Rhine-Westphalia, Susanne Schlimgen has been with Messe Frankfurt in a variety of positions since 2002. Until her appointment as Tendence Director, she was coordinator for the Nordstil regional order fair. Nevertheless, Tendence is no unknown quantity for Susanne Schlimgen. From 2007 to 2011, she was responsible for the Giving section of the international Ambiente and Tendence consumer-goods fairs. “We are delighted that Susanne Schlimgen will take over from Bettina Bär as acting Tendence Director. With many years of experience in the field of consumer-goods fairs, she is extremely well prepared for her new duties not only in terms of content but also organisationally and strategically”, says Philipp Ferger, Group Show Director, Tendence. “We are convinced that, with her trade-fair expertise, creativity and many years of experience in the sector, Ms Schlimgen will continue with the successful development of Tendence in the future.”
The next Tendence opens its doors from 30 June to 3 July 2018.

Tendence – international trade fair for consumer goods
Tendence (30 June to 3 July 2018) is Germany’s most international order venue for the second half of the year. The wide-ranging product portfolio covers fields of the home, furnishing, decorating, gifts, jewellery, fashion accessories, tableware, kitchenware, home textiles and outdoor living. Special shows and a wide-ranging complementary programme of events are multi-faceted sources of sales-boosting impulses for retailers. Strong brands and key communicators use this new-products platform to present their trends for the winter and Christmas season. At the same time, they give bulk buyers from the international trade the chance to place orders in good time for their spring and summer collections.
