Bettina Bär is back as head of Tendence
After her parenting leave, Bettina Bär has now been back as head of Tendence since early September. Susanne Schlimgen, who stood in for her in 2018/19, will be coordinating cooperation with numerous retailers’ associations as well as the lifestyle conference Pioneers of Lifestyle on the last day of Tendence. She will also support the ongoing strategic development of Tendence and Nordstil and will continue to be closely associated with both events.
Tendence 2020: new dates and extended to four days
Just a few weeks after Tendence 2019, preparations for the next edition of the trade fair have already started. The hall concepts Style City, Moment Market, Design City and Sunshine State met with a positive response and will continue next year. However, adjustments have been made concerning the number of days and the dates of Tendence 2020.
Tendence 2019: Summer heat and cool trends
Clearly structured by trading forms, lifestyles and target groups, Tendence 2019 focused even more closely on the needs of customers. For three days, 603 exhibitors presented their fashionable lifestyle and trend products. The trade fair’s new, modified concept, numerous events and live presentations contributed to the positive mood among exhibitors and visitors. Despite the summer heatwave, the wide range of products on show were enthusiastically received by the 15,000 trade visitors – putting them in a buying mood and encouraging them to place orders and make contacts.

Philipp Ferger has been appointed second Managing Director of nmedia GmbH effective 1 June 2019 and will share management responsibilities with Nicolaus Gedat.
Tendence 2019 builds bridges between the craft sector, industry and lifestyles
Memories, convictions and cultural identity: With 25 exhibitors in the Talents promotional area and the winners of the prestigious design competition FORM, Tendence is set to build bridges between the craft sector, industry and lifestyles. The trade show will be held from 29 June to 1 July 2019.
Trade fairs are changing: More and more orders are placed after the event
Thanks to digitisation, the kind of order trade shows which we once knew are now fulfilling different functions. Today’s trade fairs are moving more towards forming sustainable networks, building trust for long-term collaboration and experiencing products with all five senses. Ordering during the trade fair itself is becoming increasingly secondary and tends to take place more and more just after the event. This trend is also rising among Tendence exhibitors.
Tendence 2019 puts the spotlight on future fashion designers
Setting the stage for a new generation in fashion and design: the final of the Frankfurt Style Award will be held at Tendence for the first time.
Halls 11 and 12 with highlights for the warmer seasons and for design enthusiasts
The two exhibition halls 11 and 12 complement the new concept for Tendence 2019. While the Sunshine State in Hall 11.0 will put the focus entirely on spring and summer, Hall 12.0 will be transformed into Design City, featuring more up-market products.
Tendence 2019 and Pioneers of Lifestyle: four days of concentrated expertise and networking
After a successful première in 2018, the Pioneers of Lifestyle conference will again bring the industry together, with inspiring discussions and mutual learning at the Messe Frankfurt Forum. Following immediately after Tendence, on 2 July 2019, the conference will provide start-ups, brand manufacturers and retailers with workshops and keynote talks and also with opportunities to exchange ideas about their impressions and the latest trends at the trade fair.
Perfect preparation for Tendence 2019
A visit to a trade fair requires thorough preparation. This should include planning the trip, finding your way round the exhibition grounds and meeting the right business partners. To help exhibitors and visitors to have a successful time at the event, Messe Frankfurt is again providing a wide range of services as well as helpful preliminary information.
New concept at Tendence attracts both long-standing and new exhibitors to Frankfurt
Fresh ideas at Tendence are having an impact: As well as all those regulars who have been coming to Frankfurt for many years, the trade fair team will be welcoming a large number of new exhibitors from 29 June to 1 July 2019.
Experience the world of the customer – the new concept for Hall 8.0 and its marketplaces
Tendence has developed a new concept for Hall 8.0 this year, that of a Style City with different market places and districts. The hall will be set out like a large concept store and has been carefully designed so that visitors can choose products to suit the style of their business – right across all product groups.
Hall 9: Welcome to the Moment Market!
In response to the changing needs of exhibitors and visitors, Tendence 2019 will have an optimised hall layout. All the new plans for Halls 8, 9, 11 and 12 will be made available by the Tendence team to provide perfect assistance for exhibitors as they prepare for the trade fair. The first area for which the new plans will be presented is the Moment Market in Hall 9.0.
Creative ideas and relevant practical insights: Tendence Academy
Retailers can look forward to a programme of events that offers a wealth of inspiration, with plenty of creative ideas for store design, support in customer communication and sales strategies. It is also a number one destination for retailers and service providers wanting to expand their expertise in web shops and online marketing. Talks will be held on the Style City stage in Hall 8.0.
Tendence 2019: Three days of orders and added value for the retail trade
Unlike any other industry event, Tendence stands for increasing challenges in the consumer goods industry and the retail sector. A far-reaching transformation is in progress, which is occupying the minds of company managers across different sectors and creating extensive upheaval in nearly all industries. Under these conditions it is important to adapt the profile of Tendence and to bring it further into line with the requirements of the market and the relevant sectors. So Tendence, as a consumer goods trade fair, will be held on three days next year, from Saturday, 29 June until Monday, 1 July 2019.
